Discover all the beauty of the central valleys of Oaxaca by bike on a 45kms gravel route passing through the Tule tree until reaching Mitla ruins and finalizing on the petrified waterfalls of “Hierve el agua” where you will be able to deep in after a good pedaling all on a well designed gravel tour combining ancient dirt roads and the most iconic places in Oaxaca state.
The ideal ride for those who likes Gravel, going fast and culture. Cross Oaxaca central valleys and visit ancient churches, pre hispanic ruins and finally, a refreshing swim in the natural pools of “Hierve el Agua”.

After meeting us at Bike Flow Oaxaca office and fit out bikes, we will start our tour pedaling from our shop through a bike path that connects the city of Oaxaca with the town of Santa María del Tule. We will have the option to continue on this path or take a basic/intermediate level trail for 1 hour through the mountains. Both will take us to the main plaza of Santa Maria del Tule for a delicious breakfast at the Gastronomic Market. Afterwards, we will visit the Tule Tree and learn about its history and cultural importance.
After the breakfast and explanation, we will get on our bikes and prepare to ride for 30kms on local gravel trails, almost entirely flat with incredible scenery from Oaxaca Central Valleys until reaching Tlacolula de matamoros, a small indigenous village where we will do a strategic stop to eat a snack, rest, and where you will also have the option to get on our van which will be accompanying us during all the tour, or continue the last 10kms by bike to the ruins of San Pablo Villa de Mitla. Here, a certified guide will be ready to give us a private tour. (Entrances to Mitla ruins + Certified guide is already included)
After this, we will continue to our 4th and last stop in the comfort of our van and visit the petrified waterfalls of “Hierve el agua”, where you can rest and submerge yourself in its natural pools. After an excellent day of good pedaling and visiting the most emblematic places in Oaxaca, we will then return to the city of Oaxaca. On private tours a Post ride meal is included at a restaurant with special views of the mountains before going back to Oaxaca City
