Oaxaca Enduro MTB Tour 1 day: Ixtepeji best Single-tracks and epic descends

Once our bikes are set and adjusted, we’ll set off on a scenic 40-minute drive toward the majestic mountains of the Sierra Norte. As the road climbs higher into the pine forests, the air gets cooler and the views open up to sweeping ridgelines and endless wilderness. Our first stop is a charming local restaurant perched above the valley, where breathtaking mountain views set the tone for the day. Here you’ll enjoy a delicious Oaxacan breakfast—fresh, hearty, and full of flavor—perfect fuel for the epic adventure ahead. Take a moment to soak in the scenery, sip some great coffee, and connect with fellow riders before we head deeper into the mountains.

After breakfast, we continue with a short 20-minute drive to the legendary forests of Ixtepeji, widely considered Mexico’s enduro paradise. Surrounded by towering pines, ancient trails, and pristine mountain terrain, this is where the real magic begins. We’ll start with a proper warm-up ride to get the body moving, wake up the suspension, and make sure everyone feels comfortable before dropping into the good stuff.

With energized legs and big smiles, we’ll begin exploring some of the best singletrack in the region. Throughout the day we’ll ride 5–7 incredible trails ranging from Blue+ to Black Diamond lines, always adapting the pace and trail choice to the group’s comfort level. Expect a perfect mix of flowing forest singletrack, technical rocky sections, natural berms, loamy corners, and fast descents weaving through towering pines and massive agaves. Thanks to the lift assistance, we maximize riding time and vertical drop, allowing you to focus on what matters most: pure, uninterrupted downhill fun.

Midway through the adventure, we’ll pause deep in the forest for a refreshing snack break. Surrounded by nature and the quiet of the mountains, it’s the perfect moment to recharge, share some trail stories, and get ready for the next round of descents.

To finish the day in style, we’ll ride one final epic long trail—an unforgettable descent that flows through the heart of the mountains and showcases the best of the region’s terrain. From there, we enjoy a relaxed and scenic ride back toward Oaxaca City, descending from the cool forests back into the vibrant valley.

By the end of the day, you’ll leave with tired legs, a huge grin, and the unforgettable feeling of having experienced one of the most unique riding destinations in the world—where incredible trails, wild landscapes, and authentic mountain culture come together in a true enduro adventure.
