An advanced MTB challenge for experienced riders. Earn your visit to the iconic Monte Alban ruins by climbing 300m to the summit, then descend excellent local trails, then conquer the Atzompa trails with more epic local trails that lead directly to Oaxaca downtown. This is Oaxaca’s best urban MTB challenge.

Start your ride with a small and selective group of 6 riders (On group tours) by pedaling for 20 minutes until we leave the city and then begin a challenging ascend of 300mts on road/pavement until we reach the top of the ruins of Monte Albán which will take approximately 40 minutes. Once at the top we will rest for a while, eat a snack and be able to enter to the Monte Albán ruins (Tickets NOT included) (50min inside the ruins) where you will able to admire the beautiful landscape and the remains of an ancient culture that is still very alive in Oaxaca.
After visiting the ruins we will start our first descend though dirt trails of medium/Advanced difficulty (Fast sections, loose rocks and thecnnical sections) riding though agaves and trees until we reach the middle of our route in a local store where we can resupply ourselves with water and food, this descends will take us 40minutes approximately. Once we reach the reach the local store we will climb the last 200mts on road to Atzompa ruins where we will finally take our last and longest descend through single tracks that will leads us directly to a not very known natural spring water that comes directly from the mountain and then, to the historic center of the city passing thought the ancient train station of Oaxaca and enjoying all the cultural wealth, colors and art that abounds in all its streets.
During the hot season (March–May), you can choose to start at cooler hours (7 am), ideal for arriving for brunch after a good morning ride.
